This weekend was a trip to Shokoku, one of the other main islands of Japan. It started out as a 8 hour overnight busride (not as bad as it sounds, because seriously, this was the most comfortable bus I've ever been on... that and the cost of a roundtrip ticket was the cost of a one way ticket on the rail lines. I highly reccomend this form of travel.
Anyhow, To take the following picture of the Naruto Whirlpools, it requried you to get on a boat and go perilously close to these thing... Not that they could suck you down, but since it was an ultra choppy day (and we planned the visit to coincide with the full moon since the whirlpools are the strongest then) it felt like you could get flung off the boat into them at any moment.

I took a few videos on my G9, and I'll see if I feel like posting more later. Which will most likely happen since we actually went on the crazy boatride twice due to ultra nice weather the next day, and even stronger whirlpools ^_^
