plane trip over was ok, nothing spectacular, except the joy of having my own video system to play movies on, kept me muchly entertained... Food was good too.. when I come back again, I'm totally flying ANA (that and having 9k miles after this trip will make me take them to bank more)
Met Alice and the evening ensued :)
Day 2:
After Alice Left, I hung around the hotel room for a bit, then I wandered over to Shinjuku...
Let me tell you kide, not speaking japanese is a pain in the ass... I'm playing it off by being basically a deaf/mute, which brings communicating back to handgestures and pointing, which is easier than anything else... But today I've managed to do the following:
1.) Make it to Shinjuku
2.) Wander around 3 hours looking in stores and playing video games (OMFG UFO Catchers = <3)
3.) Eat Sushi @ a conveyor belt place
4.) Find my first megastore of Otaku goodness...
5.) Buy an Edoben from the Shinjuju station
6.) Find a noodle stand that wasn't packed totally and get a bowl of ramen (Mmm..Tamago... bad for MSG though, I can feel my heart racing still)
7.) Make it back to hotel alive.
I'll go out exploring more later, but the damn weather is nasty, I'm wet, and I'm looking foward to taking a shower and a nap.
I love the sheer number of vending machines here ^_^
ttfn :)
