While out leading a group of New Hires out on their SST (Sales and Service Training) Geocaching, I was pushed from behind(accidentally) while standing on a log about 2 feet off the ground...
I fell face first and landed dead flat... Surprisingly, the only part of me that got injured was my upper thigh..
Of course, it was injured by the 6 inch log that I landed on...
I tried to tough it out, and managed to finish the activity... But after trying to go on and work on sunday, I wound up going to the ER and had my leg and hip X-rayed. No breaks, but severe muscle contusions and various other leg issues.
So I'm currently hopped up on Vicoden, and unable to really walk around much, or sit without being in a lot of pain. Laying horizontal is the only position that really feels ok...
I have another appointment tomorrow at the docs, and we'll see how that goes then... But I'm now technically on workman's comp (mmm.. yay for workplace injuries)
Bowling league was supposed to start tonight too.. I'm going to go, but only for the meeting part, as I know there is no way I can bowl, and if I did, multiple people would make me more injured :)
On a positive note, I got a fabulous review at work and a 6% Pay increase :)
My managers words were as follows:
"This is the largest pay increase i've ever given an employee... However I expect that the next review I give you won't be in this position anymore"
Guess I'm right in anticipating a promotion to Supervisor was right ^_^
Back to convalescing!
